The Mountain — Groove Box

An ambient, procedural step-sequencer. JavaScript is required to play audio.

Instruments

8 channels: Bass, Pluck, Pad, Drums, Cello, Flute, E. Guitar, Saxophone. Each channel can play Base (chord tone), Lead (melodic variation), Bach (7th harmony), or Stanza (melody from library).

Subdominant: Am → G → C → F (with 7ths: Am7 · G7 · Cmaj7 · Fmaj7)
Tonic: Am → F → Am → Em (Am7 · Fmaj7 · Am7 · Em7)

Modes

Live Mode: 16-step orbital ring visualizer. Current chord displayed in centre. Tempo 60–160 BPM (default 110).
Composition Mode: 16-bar grid. Per-bar harmony selector (D=subdominant, S=tonic, H=dominant).
